The Chuba Company Celebrates its 50th Anniversary

After many years of hard work, steady growth, and strong commitment to the community, The Chuba Company is proud to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022!

The Chuba Company was founded by Denny Chuba in 1972. Initially a one-man construction business, the company grew over time, adding new partners and employees along the way. Today, The Chuba Company is securely situated for the years to come, and any new challenges they might bring.

The History of The Chuba Company

Denny Chuba started working at his dad’s construction business when he was 14 years old. He later subcontracted as a carpenter, then used that experience to start his new company. Denny moved The Chuba Company to Elk River in 1977, where it would remain.

In 1987, Del Bauers joined The Chuba Company as a partner. He brought valuable sales experience, which helped the company continue to grow. In 2001, Mike Crank joined as a partner. He still works at The Chuba Company today.

The Next 50 Years

In 2019, The Chuba Company was sold to new owners: Justin Ege, Derek Warmbier and Zack Armstrong. Derek and Zack are nephews of Del and Sandi Bauers, while Ege is a former Elk River police officer who joined Chuba in 2019.

Over the years, The Chuba Company has focused on serving and retaining loyal customers. Most leads come from repeat clients and word-of-mouth referrals. This dedication has helped Chuba weather difficult times, such as the housing market crash in 2008 and the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to customer commitment and support, Chuba has been formally recognized over the years. These accolades include the Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year, a finalist for the Better Business Bureau Integrity Award, and participating in the DIY Network’s Bath Crashers program.
