1. Roof Damage is Cosmetic

If your roof has suffered damage that is not structural, but simply cosmetic, your insurer may deny the claim.

2. Roofing Materials Used

Insurance companies may only approve coverage for certain materials. Make sure to check with your insurer before choosing a roofing material.

3. Age of Existing Roof

Many insurance companies limit coverage based on the age of the existing roof. If you roof is more than 20 years old, for example, your roof insurance may deny part or all of your roof insurance claim.

4. Roof Deficiencies
